If you have inserted your Rebel SIM card but your phone shows an error like "SIM Not Supported", "Network Locked", or asks for an unlock code, your device is likely locked to your previous network.
Please note: All phones sold by Rebel Telecom are unlocked.
How to check if your phone is locked.
The quickest test is to insert a SIM card from a different network provider. If you can make calls or send texts, your phone is unlocked.
You can also check in your settings:
iPhones:
1. Go to Settings > General > About.
2. Scroll down to Network Provider Lock.
3. If it says No SIM restrictions, your phone is unlocked. If it shows a network name, it is locked.
Androids:
Settings vary by manufacturer, but you can usually check by trying to manually select a network:
1. Go to Settings > Connections (or Network & Internet).
2. Tap Mobile Networks > Network Operators.
3. Turn off Select automatically.
4. If you can see a list of other networks (like EE, Vodafone, O2), your phone is likely unlocked. If the menu is hidden or you get an error, it may be locked.
